Pursuant to SD&G County By-law 4648, the use of Off Road Vehicles (ATV’s), is permissible along Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry County Roads when the following conditions are met:
  1. A formal written request must be made. The request is to be from a recognized ORV/ATV club/association carrying liability insurance and/or a municipality.
     
  2. All crossings of a County Road perpendicular to the traffic shall be permitted.
     
  3. The portions of County Road must be shown to form part of a trail network on where County Roads are not the major portion of the network.
     
  4. No County Road section in urban areas will be opened for ATV’s when there is a local road or off-road trail alternative available.
     
  5. As trail networks are evolving, County Roads open to ORV/ATV use shall be reviewed biennially to assure their length is minimal.
     
  6. No application will be granted that requests use of SDG County Roads 31, 34, 43 and that portion of SDG 2 that has a speed limit of 70 km/h or more.
     
  7. Signing shall be provided by the Club.
