SDG opens intake for Tourism Information Signs

County admin building

THE COUNTIES, Ontario – The United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry is making it easier for  tourism operators to draw visitors to their destination.

SDG Tourism is launching the intake for Tourism Information Signs (TIS), which are installed on County roads, directing traffic to local tourist amenities.

The program aims to place signs on SDG County roads for motorists to find tourist attractions, operations and services. This increases awareness of SDG tourism attractions, operations and services in the region and enhances traffic control through ‘advanced warning of turns’ signs.

SDG staff supervise the registration, delivery and maintenance of TIS signs.

The cost of TIS signs includes manufacturing, installation, maintenance and administrative costs.  Costs are the sole responsibility of the owner and must be paid in full upon the signing of the agreement.  Each agreement is valid for a period of four years.

2020 SIGNAGE PROGRAM PRICING:

  • Large Regional Sign (8’x2′) – $450/4-year term
  • Small Regional Sign (3’x2′) – $350/4-year term
