Springfield Farm

Springfield Farm is a family farm owned and operated by Finbarr and Eleanor McGrath-McCarthy under their company Ard Ri Productions Inc. They have a family of four children and the purchase of the farm was to ensure that they and their children could establish a farm business in the area based on AgriTourism and the growing "field to table" organic movement. The mission of Springfield Farm, Apple Hill is to create a multi-generational business that promotes Stewardship of the Land, Sustainable Diversified Farming Practices and to Preserve a way of life that is too easily forgotten in today’s modern farming. Education through Agri-Tourism for the visitors to Springfield Farm will be a further offshoot in the appreciation and knowledge of the ecosystem, permaculture farming, managed forest including the Sugar Bush for maple syrup production. Visitors are welcome to contact Springfield Farm and experience first-hand the beauty of the South Glengarry landscape and be in contact with nature while learning about organic food production.
