HELP US OUT! New strategic plan being drafted for SDG Library

business enterprise centre

SDG COUNTIES, Ontario - The future doesn’t arrive fully written - it’s built question by question.

At the SDG Library, a new strategic plan is taking shape, and it begins with a simple invitation: tell us what matters. Instead of drafting goals behind closed doors, the library has opened the process to the community, asking readers, learners, and neighbors to help steer the next few years.

The survey is short, but its reach is wide. Each response adds a perspective: how people use library spaces, what programs make a difference, what services are missing, and what hopes are carried into the future.

A quick scan of a QR code, a few thoughtful minutes, and suddenly one voice becomes part of a larger plan.

Quick points:

  • Survey is open to all individuals aged 18+ that reside, work, or go to school within the SDG Counties.
  • Survey closes May 16.
  • Survey can be completed online (via a QR code or weblink) or via a paper copy (available at any SDG Library).

As a thank you, everyone who completes the survey may choose to enter a draw for a $100 MacEwen Gas or $100 Your Independent Grocer gift card.

The strategic plan is not just a document. It is a map, drawn collectively, showing where the library should go next and how it can best serve the community it belongs to.

The deadline is May 16 to respond.
