SDG COUNTIES, Ontario – The United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry is pleased to announce the hiring of Cameron Harper as Director of Transportation Services, effective Aug. 5, 2025, following a comprehensive recruitment process.
Mr. Harper is a licensed engineer in both Ontario and British Columbia, bringing nearly a decade’s worth of experience in leadership roles across municipal infrastructure, public works, and project management. His practical expertise as manager of public works and engineering project manager at the County of Huron are central to his skillset.
Mr. Harper currently serves as the Manager of Bridges and Structures for the City of Victoria, B.C., where he has been instrumental in overseeing major capital projects, ensuring safe, sustainable transportation networks, and driving innovation in infrastructure planning and delivery.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and is a strong advocate for community engagement and collaboration with municipal stakeholders. His leadership approach emphasizes transparency, responsiveness, and long-term planning aligned with the needs of residents and partner municipalities.
