Cornwall OPS Walk and Run for United Way
Thursday, October 27, 2016
11:00 am – 1:00 pm
Each year, more than 2,000 Ontario Public Servants (OPS) participate in the Annual Walk & Run for United Way. Since 2013, the event has raised almost $425,000.
This year, Cornwall will host an OPS Walk & Run for United Way on Thursday October 27, 2016. The event is open to employees in the OPS as well as members of the greater public sector, including municipalities, colleges, hospitals and other government agencies.
All money raised goes back into the Cornwall/S.D.&G community based on a “raised local stays local” fundraising approach. Your participation will assist in supporting the local United Way office and programs.
Starting at the Clock Tower in Lamoureux Park, participants will walk along a pre-determined route to a distance of 2.5 km or run to a distance of 5 km. Route details are available at www.opswalkrun.com
Walk/Run start time is flexible. Participants may choose to begin the walk/run at any time between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm. It is expected that an individual participant will be able to finish the route in approximately one hour.
Participants must register on-line at www.opswalkrun.com
