Enbridge donates $7,500 to the United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry to enhance emergency response capabilities

CORNWALL, Ontario, December 17, 2015 - Enbridge is proud to support United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry with a donation of $7,500 toward the purchase of new emergency management communication and training equipment.

“We are pleased to support the United Counties’ because they help keep our community safe,” said Norm Cassidy, Senior Land Agent with Enbridge. “The upgraded communication and training equipment will help ensure the County is better prepared to handle any type of emergency, which then better enables them to maintain the safety and welfare of the community.”

“The County works very closely with our local SDG municipalities, Fire Departments, and emergency responders to keep our residents safe, said Jack Sullivan, with United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry, who, along with Chief Administrative Officer Tim Simpson, accepted the cheque on behalf of the County on Thursday, December 17, 2015.

The Enbridge Safe Community Program provides financial support to first responders and safety driven organizations so they can acquire new equipment, obtain professional training or deliver educational programs.
