The Council of the United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry completed its review of the draft 2017 budget estimates on February 22nd, 2017. The annual budget is the key policy document for the County, approving all operational items and capital projects for 2017.

EOWC elects new Chair and sets 2017 Priorities
Kingston, January 9, 2017 – The Eastern Ontario Wardens’ Caucus (EOWC), at its annual inaugural meeting held in Kingston on January 5 and 6, 2017, elected Mayor Robert Quaiff of Prince Edward County as the EOWC 2017 Chair.

Bancroft Assumes Warden’s Chair

The Counties, Ontario – This morning, South Stormont Mayor Jim Bancroft assumed the Warden’s Chair for the year 2017. Mr. Bancroft replaces outgoing Warden Jamie MacDonald, who served as County Warden for 2016.
The Canadian Pacific Railway’s Holiday Train will once again be making a stop in the community of Finch. On November 27th, the train will be rolling into Finch just to the North of the North Stormont Arena. The train is scheduled to stop between 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
